Your STOTT trained Instructors

Clare Richardson

Founder and instructor STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor and iNWA approved Nordic Walking Instructor, provides classes and private instruction in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.  A wide range of specialist Pilates equipment is used, including 3 STOTT V2MAx Pilates Reformers, 3 STOTT PILATES Stablility Chairs, arc barrels, fitness circles, foam rollers, resistance bands, weighted toning balls, mini stability balls and large stability balls.

Neil Richardson

Neil served in the Royal Air Force as a pilot for sixteen years, flying various aircraft on assorted operational duties. After leaving the RAF he was a commercial airline pilot for five years. After thousands of hours in uncomfortable seating at work he has recognised the benefits of pilates and has qualified as a STOTT Pilates Instructor in Matwork, Cadillac, Chair and Reformer.

Kirsty Rose

Kirsty began her career as a professional dancer before deciding to embrace her love of movement further by certifying with STOTT Pilates and Balanced Body. Kirsty has acquired an impressive breadth of training covering not only Pilates but also Yoga, Barre, Body Burn and Dance Fit. 

The scope of her teaching experience in studios both in the UK and in the UAE ranges from clients requiring rehabilitation to working with elite athletes seeking to achieve their goals. Kirsty leads her clients through a session that leaves them feeling taller with any pain reduced and looking forward to their next session.

Helen Dean

I was first introduced to Pilates by a ballet teacher I had at college when I was completing my degree in Dance Studies, but did not fully appreciate its potential to enhance people’s lives until it was suggested by my physiotherapist I took it back up again to manage an injury I received following a car accident.  I was amazed at how Pilates changed my life; enabling me to stay pain free and active.  Following completing my dance training I worked in education for 20 years but have returned to working with movement and love sharing my knowledge with others and seeing the benefits it brings them.  When I’m not working I enjoy walking, spending time in my garden and practicing mindfulness.

Charlotte Harvey-Parsons

 

Having always had a keen interest in fitness i began looking for more creative ways to keep active, i took up Pole Fitness and qualified as an Instructor in 2017. I fell in love with teaching and helping others to progress both physically and mentally, this encouraged me to further my knowledge of the mind to body connection. Yoga has helped me in more ways than i could have imagined and i’d like to share that. 200hr YTT yoga alliance certified

Bea Warner

 

Bea’s background has predominantly been in corporate sales and marketing, but following lower back surgery, sitting at a desk endlessly was only making things worse. Having tried every exercise known to man, she discovered Barre by chance, and it was genuinely love at first try! Bea formerly qualified with Barreworks in London in 2020, and was also trained by Esther Fairfax, the daughter of the infamous Lotte Berk the founder of Barre.

Pilates Equipment

Tetbury Pilates Studio is equipped with 3 STOTT PILATES V2MAX reformers complete with Vertical Frame.  These ingenious machines are designed to work with your body for maximum results whatever your needs.  Suitable for everyone, whether you are a complete beginner, recovering from illness or injury, a new mum wishing to get back in shape or an athlete keen to iron out muscular imbalances and improve performance.

The springs used to provide resistance mimic the natural rhythm of the body’s muscles brilliantly. The results are fast and are quickly evident. Your body becomes stronger from the inside out, creating stable functioning joints, improving muscle firing patterns and giving a strong sleek physique.

As well as the main Studio, we have a one-to-one studio room, equipped with a further STOTT PILATES V2MAX reformer with vertical frame and a Stability Chair.

Clare ensures exercises are tailored to your specific needs.

Sessions are booked at a mutually convenient time allowing clients far greater flexibility.

How Do I Get Started?

Tetbury Pilates operates a welcoming studio environment in which to practise pilates and hopes that the following requests will help the studio run efficiently for your comfort and ours.

 

If you would like to join one of our Mathwork, Barre, Yoga or TRX classes, then send us an email at info@tetburypilates.com. We can then check spaces in the class and book you on to attend.

 

If you would like to join a reformer/ mixed equipment class, then we ask that you attend a 1-2-1 session first to get you up to speed on the equipment before joining the course and go through the basics of the movements and exercises.

 

If you would like to book a 1-2-1 or Duet session, whether it is before joining a class or for ongoing 1-2-1’s, we ask that you contact us and together so we can arrange your first visit.

Arrival
If a session is being undertaken whilst you arrive please respect other clients and please come in quietly and move through to the lobby area. Here there is space to hang coats and shoes and a toilet.

When you have finished your workout please clean down the equipment you have been using, using the spray and flannels provided,  before moving through to collect your belongings.

What To Wear
Ensure appropriate clothing is worn during your sessions for your own comfort, those around you and the instructor. Fitted clothing that allows you to move with ease and safety is suitable especially when working on the equipment. Ideally have a layer to take off when you have warmed up.

Ideally no zips on clothing please – it scratches our equipment

Socks
Please bring with you a clean pair of socks to change into before exercising when using the Reformer equipment. This is for hygiene reasons when using the straps on the reformer. If you have socks with grips on the sole then these are beneficial  for many exercises.

Personal hygiene should be at a good level for both instructors and clients – this is to include feet!!
